Today, i am going to show you how to authenticate user node js using JWT and socket io in Laravel 5.3. It is very very important because if you are working with chat application or messengers system etc with user then you have to use JWT token because it is very safe and secure way.
If we work on chat module with socket io but someone can easily hack our code. At that time we require to check given JWT token is valid or not using <strong class="path">socketio-jwt</strong> package of Node.
socketio-jwt package thorough we can simply authentication with user and identify that token is valid .....
Sometimes we are working on change password function at that time we require to check with current password. If current password should be match otherwise return error with "your old password is wrong".
I mean we have one form with three input field like as bellow:
<strong>1)current password</strong>
<strong>2)new password</strong>
<strong>3)confirm new password</strong>
When it will submit form we have to check current password match with store database table password. So, laravel store hash password, that way we can't check directly equal to condition, But Laravel provide <strong>Hash</str.....
We always wanted to do authentication system in your project, i mean sign-in, sign-out, sign-up and forgot password for our project. If you work on core PHP, or any PHP framework then it will take long time and large amount code as well to make auth module for your application.
But Laravel 5.2 provide simple way to create authentication module in your laravel application. Laravel 5.2 provide several php artisan command, that command through we can generate authentication module easily.
Laravel 5.2 also will create new auth route and blade file, that way you can also customize your auth modul.....
we always use remember me option in login page, that way user don't require to login everytime. So, we would like use remember me option in our login page then you can also do it simply, because laravel provide it's own functionality. But, many developer can't do it properly i mean remember me not working, but you can implement it right.
First you have to sure that <strong class="path">remember_token</strong> field in our users table. if you haven't remember_token column then first add it in your users table or any table that you use as for auth.
